Helene and Aleksander are good friends of mine from way back and I was so happy and honored when they asked me to document their wedding day. I knew this was going to be an awesome wedding, with Helene and Aleksander being laid-back, fun and awesome people :)
The reception was held at Fredriksvern in Stavern, a cool place which was built in the 1750s as Norways first naval base. Now in 2017, the area it is used for art galleries and several other things. Fun fact: the building where the wedding was is actually the Police Academy's cafeteria/lunch room!
After a beautiful ceremony in Eidanger chruch, where the couple were wed by the grooms dad, we made our way towards Stavern. Along the way we stopped in random places to take some portraits, which is one of my favorite ways to do the wedding portraits. Just drive from A to B and see what locations pop up along the way. :)
A good wedding band is always fun, and these guys were keeping the dance floor lit all night! When he's not getting married, Aleksander is in a band with most of them, so towards the end of the night he made his way onto the stage to play some original songs with his band mates!
